Infection Preventionist Jobs

RWJBH is seeking an Infection Preventionist at the New Brunswick campus. This is a full-time, day position (40hours/week).

Responsibilities:

• Interprets, clarifies and supports implementation of infection prevention policies and procedures throughout the hospital as needed.
• Responds promptly and positively to infection prevention questions or concerns of staff, patients, and families.
• Shares data and information with the Infection Prevention team.
• Appropriately apprises the Director, Infection Prevention of developments affecting the functions and elements of the Infection Prevention Program.
• The Infection Prevention Professional (IPP) will support the efficient function of the infection prevention program.
• Collaborates with other professionals including nursing, physicians, Clinical Laboratories, and Employee Health to effect quality infection prevention.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute care facility.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Bachelor s degree in nursing, medical technology or related scientific field.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
• Certification required after two years experience.
