Industrial Engineer Jobs

An established, multi-billion dollar manufacturing organization is actively seeking an Industrial Engineer to add to their growing facility. This candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of duties relative to industrial/lean engineering in an effort to improve deliverables that will lead to improve efficiencies and cost savings.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Maintain plant capacity and utilization information
• Implement work cells and productivity improvements
• Maintain work standards for manufacturing operations
• Create and assist with implementation of standard work
• Design and modify packaging to meet customer requirements, ensure protection of product during transit and manage cost of packaging materials
• Analyze material handling methods and facilitate improvements
• Maintain plant layout
• Assist in the planning/estimating and introduction of manufacturing new processes, products and operations
• Engineer special programs and projects related to cost reductions
• Coordinate, maintain and recommend improvements in plant layouts and material flow

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong working knowledge of Lean Production techniques, JIT concepts, time studies, and standards development preferred
• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• 3-5+ years experience in the industrial engineering field preferred
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives within inventory
