Responsibilities of this role include:


SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the Indirect Tax Manager is responsible for working closely with KORE’s Finance team to ensure all indirect tax information filings/remittances for the Company’s 20+ legal entities in 10+ jurisdictions are performed and filed on an accurate and timely basis. This role is also responsible for documenting the Company’s processes, positions, and controls over its indirect tax filings and financial reporting. This position will also assist in the financial reporting over income.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond and manage notices from tax jurisdictions and support the resolution of issues.
  • Communicate and coordinate with tax officials regarding indirect tax issues.
  • Assists in due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses.
  • Oversee all global indirect compliance including European VAT, Canadian GST/HST/QST, Brazil indirect taxes, and more!
  • Participate in the development and delivery of internal Indirect Tax training.
  • Ensure compliance with the indirect tax laws.
  • Prepare, review, and file multi-jurisdictional sales/use and gross receipts tax returns for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual filings.
  • Maintain and organize indirect tax files, records, and statements.
  • Assist the Senior Manager of Tax with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) in the US and International subsidiaries including reviewing inputs in the provision calculation.
  • Be an important part of maintaining, documenting, and evidencing internal controls.
  • Research new developments in indirect tax, advise of implications of tax and policy changes.
  • Maintenance of all necessary customer sales tax exemption certificates and preparation of all required resale certificates for suppliers.
  • Research tax laws as it relates to the indirect tax compliance requirements for each jurisdiction.
  • Prepare recurring journal entries for tax payments and receipts as well as quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and proofs.


Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Self-starter and action oriented to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively collaborate and present ideas and directions to support delivery excellence, with all levels in the organization
  • Excellent professional written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on best practice tax advice delivery
  • Maintaining a current Professional Accounting (CPA) designation
  • Team player, with ability to flex to support other work under the Tax function mandate.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of indirect tax experience
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with NetSuite and SureTax software solutions
  • Experience in telecommunication, technology, and internet access industries
