Job Description
The Incident Management Analyst is responsible for facilitating Orion’s incident response process and creating visibility to the entire lifecycle of a production incident at Orion – from kickoff through resolution and post mortems to reporting metrics and KPIs for the organization. As an Incident Management Analyst, you will work closely with the Incident Program Manager and Site Reliability Engineering Team to mature Orion’s platform reliability by increasing our observability footprint and eliminating toil and repetition through task automation. In order to be successful in the role, a candidate must possess strong skills in facilitation methods, incident management, root cause analysis, automation, and incident response.
Essential Functions of the Job
  • Determines and communicates the scope and impact of production incidents
  • Configures and maintains Orion’s PagerDuty platform
  • Onboards new services, products, and teams to Orion’s incident response process
  • Conducts post mortems and coordinate root cause analysis for closed incidents. Create visibility for action items and takeaways.
  • Facilitates production incidents by acting as incident manager for critical production incidents, assessing and documenting the scope and impact, and ensuring appropriate communication surrounding the incident response process
  • Creates automation within the incident response process to reduce toil
Skills Needed to Perform the Job
  • Background in Lean/Agile project management skills, methods, and tools.
  • Strong background in facilitation methods and strategies.
Education Needed to Perform the Job
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Project management certification a plus (PMP, Scrum, other).
  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification.
Experience Needed to Perform the Job
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Power BI preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in technical project management, IT Security, Site Reliability Engineering, or IT/operations analysis required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with PagerDuty or other incident response platform required.
  • Experience with Site Reliability and DevOps culture and principles preferred.

Salary Range:
$90,784.00 - $140,617.00
The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
