As a RN – Imaging you will:

• Assists Physician in related treatments and procedures requiring professional nursing skills.
• Assists with contrast reactions to minimize patient discomfort and effect.
• Performs urinary catheterizations to allow bladder access with minimal patient discomfort.
• Assesses and monitors the patient condition sufficient to initiate appropriate nursing care as needed by the patient.
• Administers medications as appropriate within standing orders and direct physician orders in the correct amounts by the proper route.
• Explains procedures to patients to minimize patient concern and maximize patient cooperation. Verifies patient identification, using two patient identifiers (full name and DOB), and examination order prior to procedure to ensure accurate patient service.
• Provides direct nursing care sufficient to meet the needs of the patient during their stay in Imaging Services.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland license as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• One year experience in an intensive care or operating room setting required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. Would be required to be obtained.
