Position Overview

Army Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) System and Navy Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Hypersonic Flight Test Engineers are needed to support continued joint Army and Navy developmental testing and support Task Force Strike after transition to Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space (PEO M&S).

Job Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to assess test range, test asset, and weapon system readiness for test execution.
• Coordinate with all aspects of test resources including test venues, test assets and participants across the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities. Trace overarching test objectives to test asset specific collection requirements and document accordingly.
• Develop test execution documentation, support test training, and support on-site or remote on-console test execution.
• Strategic long-range planning
• Conduct test planning and management activities including overarching test design, soldier interface, interface with systems engineering, and development of test plans and schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently from high-level guidance.
• 10+ years of experience in flight test planning and execution that supports responsibilities as described above.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a rapidly changing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM-related field

Desired Qualifications

• Experience testing offensive or defensive weapon systems.
• Understanding of Hypersonic missile flight and associated test challenges

Travel

• Up to 10% primarily for test execution. Remote test execution operations conducted from Huntsville, AL possible for some positions.

Clearance Requirement

• Active Secret Clearance; ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
