Hvac Engineering Technician - Actalent

Description

• The R&D Engineering Techs provides technical support to the Engineering functional groups.
• The technician will need to understand and perform tasks from written and verbal requirements; setup computers, instrumentation, test cells and equipment, and collect data that is useful in evaluating performance. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

General Skills We Ask For From Technicians

• Must have strong hands on mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and models for the purposes of assembling units and modifying parts.
• Operate power and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Able to install delicate test instrumentation
• Individual must be able to work effectively with others and provide feedback and suggestions to the engineering staff.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification Required
• Operate an overhead crane
• Knowledge of HVAC systems at the component level
• Braze copper
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration).
• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience
