OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

JOB DESCRIPTION

Operation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and heating systems, fire prevention equipment including fire and house pumps, standpipes, sprinkler systems, knowledge of Class E fire alarm system, control panel (FCS) and portable fire extinguishers, compressor banks, BMS, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, pumps, VFDs, Generators, domestic water tower, pressure tanks, inergen fire suppression, water heater, dampers, actuators, chillers and cooling tower operations.

Must have knowledge of water treatment procedures for all closed loop and house water systems. Must be I.U.O.E. Local 30 member; individual must be certified as an Operating Engineer possessing both Refrigeration and CFC Licenses; must have a Fire Safety Director F89 certificate issued by the FDNY and standpipe, sprinkler certificates; other FDNY certificates a plus; must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in HVAC plant operations and plumbing experience; must be able to work flexible hours and various shifts including overnight.
