Healing Hands 4 Paws is seeking a licensed Rehabilitation Technician to work closely with our veterinarians at our general practice, surgical and rehabilitation center! We are located in beautiful Long island, NY in a prime location close to beautiful beaches, parks, outdoor sports and much more. Our well-established rehabilitation team includes a veterinarian certified in rehabilitation therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic, as well as a team of experienced assistants. Our rehabilitation department works hand-in-hand with our general practice veterinarians, RVTs, and a strong team of assistants and receptionists who all love what they do and do it well.

We feel that physical rehabilitation is essential for comprehensive care for all animals, and we believe in an integrated approach to developing patient care plans. Our current utilized modalities include: Hydrotherapy, Therapeutic pool, Class 4 therapeutic laser, acupuncture, PRP, e-stim, PEMF, manual therapy, massage, and ample equipment needed to perform a wide range of rehabilitative exercises.

Responsibilities:

The following is a list of essential job requirements. This list may be revised at any time and additional duties not listed here may be assigned as needed. Job Functions and Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop long lasting relationships with pets and clients
• Continue rehabilitation education to provide optimal service
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to provide client education and social media skills to build relationships with our referral/ online community
• Assisting in rehabilitation evaluations, laser therapy, e-stim, manual therapy, massage, & therapeutic exercise.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must share our commitment to delivering extraordinary patient care and outstanding client communication, including working closely with our referring veterinary community.
• Certification (CCRT/CCRP/CCRV) isrequired
• Candidates will have the opportunity to join a highly collaborative, cohesive, supportive, and fun team.
• Certification in acupuncture and pain management (CVPP) is highly desired and experience practicing rehabilitation for 1-2 years is a plus.
• Must be extremely organized and detail oriented, able to work independently, and have excellent people/communication skills.
