Overview:


Performance Excellence Partners, LLC (PEP) is seeking an innovative, full-time Human Capital Program Coordinator to support the new Intelligence and Cybersecurity Diversity Fellowship program within U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO). This exciting Fellowship program is designed to attract diverse college students in STEM fields by providing education, hands-on and training experiences through connection with DHS’s resources and leaders.


As a Human Capital Program Coordinator, you will:


  • Provide assistance with the HBCU/MSI contact list.
  • Attend and host exhibits at career fairs, trade shows, college campus roadshows and job fairs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) as needed.
  • Support the recruitment, administration, marketing, and outreach activities for the Intelligence and Cybersecurity Diversity Fellowship program to increase program awareness, candidate reach, and participation of culturally diverse talent from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Support correspondence to the COR, ensuring team travel requests are approved, coordinated and per diems have been received.
  • Collect and processes recruitment data.
  • Regularly meet with team members and provide support to team meetings by preparing agendas and taking thorough meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate and track multiple processes and activities for the program and team.
  • Continuously apply creative and innovative thinking under changing circumstances.
  • Support overall SharePoint document and data management for the team and provide document review support.
  • Work in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment and enjoy growing together with other creative, collaborative, and innovative team members.


To do this job well, you will have:


  • Strong desire to learn additional skills in support of the client and team.
  • Skilled in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, promoting cooperation and collaboration.
  • At least one year experience working with the Federal government.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to college recruitment job fairs and campus events across the Continental Unites States as needed.
  • A positive work attitude and desire to excel at work.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Marketing, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, needing little direction.
  • Ability to think creatively, critically and suggest innovative ideas to the program design.
  • Ability to multi-task, flex and adjust to changing requirements and priorities quickly.
  • An active security clearance or ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service by anticipating customers’ current and future needs and focusing on meeting their expectations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • At least three years’ experience supporting programs and events.
  • Ability to work remotely and attend onsite meetings as needed at DHS HQs in D.C.
