Job Description
This role is with a growing and stable company in the downtown Pittsburgh area. You must be willing to go onsite 2 days a week in the Pittsburgh office.


Position Summary


Human Resources Generalist will be primarily responsible for key talent management processes and daily functions of the Human Resources department across functional areas with a specific focus on total rewards program execution. Additional responsibilities may also include recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave management, training and development, HRMS administration, policy implementation and employment law compliance, as well as managing other projects and priorities as assigned.


  • Responsible for specific compensation and benefits programs, and processes, including job profiles/descriptions, job benchmarking/evaluation, execution of both annual and ad hoc compensation changes, benefits program communications and training, and Workday administrative processes.
  • Total Rewards in the administration of total reward programs including leave management, retirement benefits, payroll, etc. to ensure seamless transition throughout employee life cycle.


Required Experience


  • Experience in HRMS administration and application tracking system; experience with Workday.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Knowledge of federal, local and state employment laws, and general human resources policies and procedures.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or compensation/benefits certifications preferred.
  • Must have Total reward experience. 1+ year.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of presentations.
  • HCM including compensation, benefits and onboarding is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business
  • Experience in compensation and benefits administrative process in a fast paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain credible professional relationships with colleagues and vendors to achieve business goals.
