Job Description

Our client, a global e-commerce company, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a short-term assignment supporting one of our global clients. The IDEAL candidate cares deeply about the employee experience and support employees and managers to focus on people through engagement, technology, and innovation.

Job Title: HR Generalist

Pay: $33.57/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs/week

Duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension for the RIGHT candidate)

Location: HYBRID - Austin, TX

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all employees.
  • Conduct difficult workplace investigations in collaboration with Employee Relations.
  • Advocate for employees’ needs through end-to-end experiences that help employees feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are.
  • Actively promote adoption of technology and self-service.
  • Consult, coach, and develop leadership through decision making with empathy and sound judgement; collaborating and actioning on talent management processes, people development and performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues.
  • Exercise high-judgement, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for employee concerns.
  • Support employee queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating company policies and applying high judgement as necessary.
  • Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, ranging from employee to senior leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Employee Relations/Investigations experience
  • Work Councils or other employee representative bodies (ERB) experience
  • Possess conviction and tenacity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity; brings insight to team and business
  • Coaching and consulting skills
  • Thrives in a high-pressure, ambiguous environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis, experience consulting on complex performance management cases
  • Ability to demonstrate high-judgement, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee issues in Human Resources
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
