Nightforce Optics is looking for a Human Resource Coordinator. This position is about the people of Nightforce from our employees, supervisors, and managers, to our executive leadership and potential candidates. The Human Resource Coordinator, under general direction of the HR Director, is responsible for providing support of the day-to-day employment functions including, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, employment processing, benefits, payroll, coordination of events, travel for candidates, and maintaining employee files and databases. As the first point of contact for internal and external requests, this person is responsible for efficiently and effectively directing HR traffic, coordinating HR activities, and assisting employees with understanding and applying policies and procedures. This person has an integral role in coordinating the flow of the HR department by supporting the HR Department, Leadership and Employees. It is essential this person has a consistently positive, cooperative, professional, and ambitious attitude. What you will be doing: Essential Job Duties Working with the Employee Engagement Specialist, this person is responsible for the candidate experience from posting job openings, scheduling interviews, tracking recruitment progress, conducting background checks, scheduling drug screening, performing reference checks, and sending out job offer letters. Schedule new hire orientation, including any facilitators/managers, and ensure all new employees and managers have the relevant details to ensure successful onboarding. Assist with processing health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Complete and verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files. Reconcile benefits statements. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits and/or other HR programs and recommend corrective action to HR Director. Assist with the preparation of the performance review process. Assist with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Assist with employee relations investigations by taking notes and providing support to the senior HR staff. Assist and prepare correspondence as requested. Assist Employee Engagement Specialist with implementing and tracking recruitment initiatives. Manage and update the applicant tracking system. Perform data entry for new hires, terminations, salary increases, and Affirmative Action Program. Organize and coordinate various onsite and offsite HR training for all employees. Assist with the scheduling and preparation for various HR programs and events throughout the company including employee recognition, learning and development, employee anniversaries, and company events. Provide support for Payroll and Benefits administrative tasks. What we need from you: Required Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, or Related Field or equivalent experience Ability to demonstrate relevant experience in two (2) or more of the following areas within a human resource setting: benefits, recruitment, classification, compensation, employee relations, training and development, equal employment and affirmative action, reasonable accommodation, Fair Labor Standards Act, payroll Experience interpreting and applying personnel administration practices, equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements to explain Federal and State Law, policies and procedures to employees, supervisors and high-level leadership in a group or individual setting.
