Position Summary
- Maintain and update employee database records and information including new hires, terminations, transfers, or changes; ensure record accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with HR communication including but not limited to new hire introductions, HRIS homepage content creation and maintenance, and HR event announcements
- Other duties as assigned
- Supervise the setup and assignment of office equipment for new hires with the help of external IT support
- Assists with the organizing and planning of employee engagement and community engagement events
- Complete employment verifications for current employees
- Conduct 30-day check-ins with new hires and escalate any concerns to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Participate in the creation of company culture content for social media outlets
- Maintain and update current job descriptions and job postings as needed
- Conduct background checks and facilitate any other pre-employment testing to ensure compliance with regulations and policy
- Manage pre-hire and post-hire onboarding process; coordinate and schedule new hire onboarding, IT orientation, and first day meetings
- Assist with benefits administration to ensure timely enrollment of benefits for new hires and processing of benefit changes and terminations
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Dedicated team player with a customer-service approach, friendliness and ability to build relationships
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to handle confidential data and information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks independently and efficiently within a team
- Working knowledge of Human Resources best practices, policies, procedures and federal and state laws
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds.
- This job operates primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- Occasional travel to site locations may be expected
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field or equivalent experience is required
- Previous HR experience is a plus
