Job Description
Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a HPC Linux Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities:
  • Works with others across our team supporting HPC and clustered computing services to analysts and stakeholders who process large data sets and / or develop code as part of their projects.
  • Performs pend user support for users of HPC and clustered compute services.
  • Presents information using data visualization techniques, and other reporting mechanisms.
  • Deploys, manages and implements automated tooling and monitoring solutions to minimize day-to-day maintenance and automate job queuing.
  • Collaborates with engineering and product development teams.

Qualifications:
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI poly

Degree and Years of Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a Linux environment
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash
  • Experience building containers and with Docker, Singularity, or other application containerization technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with deploying to on prem/data center infrastructure.
  • Experience using configuration management and automation tools suck as Git, Jenkins, Ansbile, Salt, or Puppet
  • Must possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised.
  • Experience performing troubleshooting and system administration with Linux servers.
  • Experience with workload managers, and GPU computing
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of data storage devices and technologies (e.g., Pure, VAST, NetApp)
Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of access management and security groups (i.e. IAM, S3 bucket, SSH, VPN, etc.)
  • Prior experience working with or within the Intelligence Community or a military intelligence unit
