JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The house person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and the general appearance of public areas and the corridors of the hotel.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following


  • Assist with deep cleaning after major room renovations or repair work.
  • Replenishing storeroom supplies
  • Picking up trash from parking lot, all hotel public areas and garden areas.
  • Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
  • Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
  • Cleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, etc., in public areas, such as lobby, pool and public restrooms.
  • Removing trash and dirty linens from room attendant carts and laundry shouts.
  • Assist with delivery of guest amenities to rooms.
  • Stocking room attendant carts with supplies.
  • Sweeping and vacuuming floors, hallways and stairwells.
  • Delivering special request items such as cribs to guest rooms.
  • Rotating lines in the storerooms
  • Spot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc., storing room attendant carts at the end of the day.
  • Assist Sales and Food and Beverage departments with clean up/breakdowns after events.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Reporting maintenance problems or completing work repair orders.
  • Maintaining shelf organization in the storerooms

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE


High School Diploma or GED preferred.


Special Qualifications


Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, with extreme attention to detail.


Language Skills


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
