Summary of Responsibilities:
The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning of the facility and preparing all bedrooms and apartments for the arrival of new clients.
Essential Duties:
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the program and clients, including completion of walk-thrus.
  • Clean, sanitize, and prepare newly vacated bedrooms to be ready for new client arrivals.
  • Clean and sanitize common areas including but not limited to the cafeteria, kitchen and other common areas.
  • Document and respond to critical incidents according to policy.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.
  • Launder linens and towels for arrival of new clients.
  • Maintain program and client confidentiality, including former clients.
  • Perform safety checks (outlet covers, storage of toxic cleaners, etc.) and resolve any safety concerns.
  • Elevate pertinent client and facility concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Clean, sanitize and organize the common areas including bathrooms.
  • Clean, sanitize and prepare bathrooms for new client arrival including stock supplies.
  • Document all facility maintenance issues and ensure communication amongst appropriate personnel.
  • Perform walk through of entire facility and perform needed remedial actions (close windows, sweep/mop/clean any crumbs on floors or kitchen counters, throw away food left, put dirty dishes into dishwasher, etc.). Wash dishes, pots and pans.
Necessary Abilities:
  • Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work
  • Knowledge of Client rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent manner; adheres to federal confidentiality standards (HIPAA)
  • Operate a fax/copy machine and telephone
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a residential setting
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • All employees may be required to work before, during and/or immediately after a natural or man-made disaster
Salary Range
  • $16.00 / Hourly
