JOB SUMMARY:

To provide a sanitary and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors through the daily cleaning and supplying of resident rooms, public areas and ancillary areas assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Some experience is desirable, but not essential. Worker may learn duties with on-the-job training.

Job Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemical, supplies and equipment assigned.

EQUIPMENT:

This position entails the use of certain equipment, including, but not limited to, mops, wringers, dusters, commercial vacuums and chemicals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other duties as required.
• To follow established cleaning procedures and infection control practices and safety practices.
• To observe and report the need for repairs to equipment, furniture fixtures and physical plant.
• Listens and responds to instructions given.
• To maintain a neat personal appearance in accordance with facility and departmental dress code.
• To maintain all facility equipment in the proper manner to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• To respond to fires and disasters as required by safety Plan.
• To assist in cleaning spills and spot cleaning corridors and carpets.
• To ensure economical use of supplies and chemicals.
• Continuously listens to pages and responds as necessary.
• To maintain storeroom for cleanliness and ease of use.

90% Inside work time.
