House Person - Cottage Rentals (Full Time) Starting At $15.00/Hr

Basic Job Function:Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service that includes but not limited to; perform physical assistance including lifting and moving heavy objects. Perform physically demanding household duties. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Assist with the delivery of clean linens and distributionWash windows, patio furniture, patio railings and floors, mats outside of rooms, entry doors, elevators, stairwells, ash urns, walls and light fixturesMaintain furniture on and sweeps patios and balconiesClean cobwebs in areasAssist in deep clean projectStock supplies and linens evenly throughout the sectionKeep elevators, ice rooms, closets and any other storage and public area clean and free of trash and debrisTake trash to dumpstersInstall all rollaway beds, cribs, and bed boards, refrigerators, microwaves, and dehumidifiers for guest roomsEnsure the guest room is properly supplied and ready for occupancyProperly maintain all equipment used and store in designated areasLearn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and MembersMaintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazardsAbility to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Company Resort Professional Image Policy
