JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure the Hotel and 4 diamond standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms are achieved and maintained. Reports directly to assigned Housekeeping Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

• Previous Guest Room Attendant experience at 4 Diamond or 4 Diamond property preferred
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques
• Must be able to understand basic English

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED preferred

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Review departmental memos
• Be aware of special promotions within the hotel
• Completes work in the order assigned by the supervisor to ensure guest satisfaction
• Complies with all OSHA requirements
• Knowledge of room types and locations in the tower
• Maintains these standards while completing daily assigned work assignments
• Responsible for any keys and/or equipment assigned
• Clock in/out at appropriate times- being at your workstation ready to work at assigned time
• Customer Relations – directs guests with problems and/or complaints to the assigned supervisors
• Handle questions, problems, and complaints
• Create a sense of recognition by using the guest’s last name, when known, in a natural and discreet manner
• Participate in an atmosphere of high morale and a positive working relationship among team members and supervision
• Ensure service is always exceptional
• Assist supervisors and Assistant Executive Housekeeper with miscellaneous duties
• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with guests
• Receive information passed on from previous shift
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Create harmony between yourself and fellow team members
• Maintains all guest rooms at Hotel and 4 diamond standards
• Ascertain guest satisfaction
• Report all Lost & Found Immediately to your supervisor, do not leave on cart
• Ensuring that Housekeeping cart and Locker Room is always clean and tidy
• Ensure service is of the highest degree
• Completes assigned work without disturbing guests
• Know and practice the guest service philosophy of Pala Casino Resort and Spa
• Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

• Frequently talking; sitting; hearing; and speaking
• Occasionally balancing; lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 250 lbs.
• Constantly walking; standing; bending; stooping; knelling; reaching; using wrist motion and eye/hand coordination

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Constantly = over 2/3 time Frequently = 1/3-2/3 time Occasionally = under 1/3 time
• Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment
• Close spaces while working with others
• Moderate noise and smoke levels; some odors.
