Job Description

FULL TIME with $1,000 sign on bonus*


Our client is seeking a full-time Restaurant Manager at their full-service, high-rise hotel conveniently located among the shops and restaurants in downtown Manchester. You will be impressed with the décor of the restaurant and proud to serve the exceptional offerings on the menu and breakfast buffet. The culinary team takes pride in preparing the most delicious, fresh food and plates it with care.


QUALIFICATIONS


A minimum of 1 year of food and beverage supervisor experience and/or 5 years of restaurant server/bartender experience is required. Full availability for breakfast/lunch/dinner shifts is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES


The Restaurant Manager will assist in the oversight and direction of the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and lounge.


Your duties will include but are not limited to:


  • Work closely with the Outlet Manager to oversee organization, efficiency and policies pertaining to service in the dining room.
  • Responsible for checking out service staff, ensuring the restaurant is up to standards and side work is completed.
  • Maintain accurate wait times while controlling the flow of the restaurant.
  • Help with the duties of other employees (i.e., server, food runner, etc.) when necessary, because of an unexpected absence or extra volume. Assume some duties in absence of the Outlet Manager
  • Direct and oversees all activities at the restaurant, in accordance with standardized policies, to provide efficient, friendly service.
  • Promote cooperative effort, team spirit, and good morale among employees (running contests etc.).
  • Resolve complaints from guests in a polite, friendly manner, always making sure we follow up with them when needed, ensuring that the Outlet Manager knows of these situations when not around.
  • Supervise staff in terms of guest service, cleaning, side-work, proper steps of service.
  • Work on the floor during service, the floor comes first before any duties.
  • Coach teammates in all that is restaurant food and beverage. To be familiar with the food and beverage items on menus. Training staff when necessary.
