Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA)
We are expanding and seeking compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) to provide home-based OTA services. As a participating team member, you will contribute to improving mobility and enhancing the quality of life of our members.
Position Responsibilities

• Monitors patients’ rehabilitative activities to ensure they are performed correctly and provide encouragement
• Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Track and document patients’ progress, attitudes and behavior for the occupational therapist
• Assists in the evaluation of patients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
• Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist Records patient health insurance bills
• Instructs patients and families in home programs, basic living skills
• I nstruct patients and family members regarding home programs as well as care and use of adaptive equipment
• Provide Occupational Therapy treatments to patients according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist

Qualifications

• Patient and warm personality
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program
• Cognitive skills as related to the position
• NYS OTA License
• Minimum of one (1) year OTA experience, in corresponding setting
• Federal and State credentials current and on file
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
