Seneca Falls. Agri Business Child Development. Home Visitor. Agri-Business Child Development (ABCD) is committed to support Head Start and New York State agriculture by providing the highest quality Early Childhood Education. We are seeking a Home Visitor that will work in homes of participating families, building positive relationships with them to support their parenting roles while displaying acceptance and respect for each family's diversity. Position Duties and Responsibilities: * Plan and develop with the parents an individualized program for the family, including establishing a caring professional relationship and a climate of mutual trust and respect for the parents. * Work with parents to strengthen the family's knowledge of child development, including assisting parents to understand how children grow and learn. * Plan and conduct child education activities with the parents which meet the child's intellectual, physical, emotional, and social needs. * Assist parents in strengthening the families' knowledge of health and nutrition, including integrating health and nutrition education into the program * Coordinates with other staff and parents regarding health screenings for family members, and provides information and referrals, if necessary. Position Requirements: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with 6 college courses (2-3 credits each) in early childhood education and/or child development. Accepted: Bachelor's Degree in unrelated field - Staff hired with an unrelated degree (ECE or Child Development or 6 college courses in ECE or Child Development) must obtain the required ECE credits or a CDA within one year of their hire date. - Problem solving skills - Must maintain confidentiality - Must have knowledge and experience in child development and early childhood education - Must be 18 years of age.
