Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our non-medical personal service agency in Indiana. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals who require support with their daily activities. Your role will be instrumental in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Document services provided, activities performed, and client progress accurately and timely.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, reading, or recreational pursuits, to promote mental stimulation and companionship.
  • Provide non-medical assistance and support to clients in their homes or designated living environments.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and general tidying.
  • Maintain a respectful, caring, and professional attitude towards clients, their families, and fellow team members.
  • Aid with mobility and transfer tasks, ensuring client safety and comfort.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.



Qualifications

  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver, personal support worker, or similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients, families, and team members.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks and screenings.
