Job Description
Job Title: Hockey Development Team Member
Department: Youth Hockey
Reporting: Manager, Hockey Development
Job Summary:
The Coyotes are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the Coyotes Hockey Development Team and help grow the sport of hockey in the state of Arizona. The primary responsibility is to promote the Arizona Coyotes through the use of various street and ice hockey clinics. Members must be upbeat, outgoing individuals with a strong work ethic who possess the ability to interact with all types of people. This position will familiarize members with the inner workings of a professional sports team and venue.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Drive Coyotes “Promotional Vehicles” to and from events. Make sure vehicles are fully stocked with necessary items for the event and put away accordingly after the event, ensuring that the vehicles are kept clean at all times.
  • Teach and instruct children and teachers the fundamentals and rules of street hockey at Coyotes Raise the Pack PE Takeovers or any other street hockey clinic
  • Assist with organization and maintenance of the Fan Development storage Unit(s).
  • Teach and instruct youth and adult Learn to Play programs introducing the fundamentals of ice hockey
  • Assist with any roller hockey clinics
  • Assist, as necessary, with other departmental promotional/community events (i.e. Community Relations, Fan Development, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, etc.).
  • Assist with other tasks on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist with all Coyotes Street Hockey League
  • Assist with any on-ice clinics (Little Howlers, Growlers, G League, etc.)
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
  • Knowledge and passion for hockey (Ice Skating and Hockey playing experience a plus, but not required)
  • Flexible schedule that includes both weekday and/or weekend availability
  • Local candidates preferred- we do not offer relocation for this position.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and a good driving record.
  • Requires prolonged standing; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
Education and Formal Training:
  • Includes Background Screening and SafeSport certification
  • USA Hockey Certification is a plus or will be provided
