Hmw - Small Equipment Operator (61031825)

Job Responsibilities

Operates small equipment such as a standard dump truck for hauling materials such as asphalt, limestone, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public, and equipment. Operates the backhoe in cleaning ditches and installing drainage pipes in the driveways while working with the ditching crew in Georgetown. Repair potholes and base surface failures of roadway using hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and asphalt lute to level asphalt as needed. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, may include extended hours and or 12 hour shifts.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this classification. Necessary Special Requirement: A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required upon entry to the position. Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.
