Hmis Data Entry I

The Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering data into the Cuyahoga County HMIS as well as internal EDEN data systems to track clients for grant compliance purposes. This position provides administrative support to housing programs and other internal staff as needed. Scans and indexes documents into the OnBase document management system that relate to clients' participation in EDEN housing programs. Processes referrals to EDEN programs by running daily reports and communicating with staff at partner agencies. Processes rent, housing, and case care service transactions in Cuyahoga County HMIS. Verifies new client demographics being input into internal systems and Cuyahoga County HMIS. Updates databases to process client terminations from selected EDEN housing programs. Updates databases to reflect client re-certifications and data gleaned therein for EDEN housing programs. Acts as a liaison between EDEN lead housing locator and external partner the Department of Aging to ensure rent is reasonable for EDEN clients. Ensures data quality being input into EDEN internal systems and Cuyahoga County HMIS. Ensures that policies and protocols relating to EDEN data systems are followed. Contributes to team efforts by assisting in other duties, as assigned. Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent education are required.
