Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a Cat 956 machine or similar and will be responsible for the proper operation of the loader to perform associated plant duties and general dirt work operations. This opening is for our TxDOT SH 36 project in Brazoria, TX.

Essential Functions

• The above-listed duties may require long periods of sitting, walking, and standing
• Includes but is not limited to operating loaders to move and load various roadway sub-grade materials
• Follow all required company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
• Perform general sub-grade operations

Required Skills & Experience

• At least four years of previous heavy equipment experience
• Previous experience preferred; must be willing to learn
• Basic knowledge of operating CAT Loaders
• Other heavy equipment experience preferred: excavator, backhoe, dozer, etc.
• Valid driver license
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks
• Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain
• Must be able to climb the equipment s ladder to reach the operator's seat
• General operator skills
