Job Description
Job Responsibilities


Provides technical and professional services to the non-credit healthcare program area. Assists in all phases of activities related to non-credit healthcare and healthcare support training courses, including program design, implementation, and evaluation of activities. Ensures the service and delivery of non-credit healthcare programs and assesses programs to meet changing industry and student needs. Assists the AVP in development of customized training programs to healthcare providers and professionals. Builds partnerships with college credit healthcare programs to support the strategic goals and mission of the college.


Job Functions


  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Contributes to creation of marketing collateral, industry database, and general promotions in the community and healthcare industry of non-credit healthcare programs; monitors student and industry response to align marketing initiatives with demand.
  • Oversees the design and implementation of non-credit healthcare programs, based on industry needs, college policies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensures the delivery of non-credit healthcare programs, including recruiting and qualifying of instructors as defined by college policies and procedures; assists coordinators and instructors to maintain quality delivery of occupational training courses; performs other duties as needed for customer service, or as assigned, and completes assignments from supervisor.
  • Responsible for conducting healthcare contract training sales for the division; expands customer base and grows revenue generated from training sales.
  • Maintains awareness of and follows regulations related to funding of tuition. Establishes and maintains the administrative duties of non-credit healthcare offerings, including syllabi, personnel contracts, course budgets, books and supplies, room assignments, and student evaluations; monitors course budgets to ensure revenue, contact hours, and positive net margins are reached; monitors adherence to budget; contributes to division's positive revenue streams.
  • Develops and expands partnerships with healthcare, professional, and institutional organizations. Monitors and assesses the healthcare environment to stay abreast of training needs and changes in the industry to maintain and provide timely additions of new programs; remains current in healthcare regulatory changes and trend changes, and adapts programs accordingly; conducts market research for new areas of growth and develops new business opportunities.
  • Recruits students, participates in career fairs, and interacts with community healthcare agencies.


Minimum And Additional Requirements


Bachelor's degree and related training development program experience.


Preferred Qualifications


The minimum as listed, plus 3 years' healthcare or program management experience.; Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and occupations. Must have supervisory skills, PC skills, project management, and team skills are essential. The Healthcare program manager will establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare organizations, professional groups and civ groups. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Will be required to make presentations.
