Job Description
: Healthcare Analyst (Data and Project Management)
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Healthcare Analyst to join our value-based primary care group based in Georgia. As a Healthcare Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to organize and analyze data while also managing major initiatives within our organization, with a specific focus on Medicare Advantage.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Organization and Analysis: Utilize advanced data management techniques to collect, clean, organize, and analyze healthcare-related data. This includes claims data, patient outcomes, cost and utilization metrics, and other relevant datasets.
2. Medicare Advantage Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Medicare Advantage programs and the related regulatory requirements, reimbursement models, and quality metrics. Apply this knowledge to guide decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of our Medicare Advantage initiatives.
3. Project Management: Lead and manage major initiatives related to value-based care and Medicare Advantage. Develop project plans, coordinate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of project milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward and achieve desired outcomes.
4. Performance Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of healthcare programs and initiatives, leveraging data insights and performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement, propose strategies, and implement actionable recommendations to enhance the quality and efficiency of our services.
5. Reporting and Presentation: Generate clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings, trends, and performance indicators to stakeholders. Present complex healthcare data in a meaningful and accessible manner to facilitate decision-making at various levels within the organization.
6. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, data privacy requirements, and industry standards. Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, health informatics, statistics, or a related field. Previous experience in healthcare data analysis, project management, or healthcare consulting is highly desirable.
2. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex healthcare data. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
3. Healthcare Knowledge: Sound understanding of healthcare industry trends, value-based care models, and Medicare Advantage programs. Familiarity with healthcare quality measures, risk adjustment methodologies, and CMS regulations is advantageous.
4. Project Management Skills: Proven experience in project management, including developing project plans, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and tracking progress. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
5. Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex healthcare concepts to diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in creating impactful reports and delivering engaging presentations is required.
6. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Strong problem-solving abilities to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in datasets.
7. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
