What you will be doing

Health and Wellness Coach


A Health and Wellness Coach will be experienced with or have general knowledge of medical and health related topics or diagnoses. You will work one-on-one with our members that may be be neurodivergent or have a disability to develop or build new skills or routines such as accessible yoga, adaptive fitness or meal planning such as the following;


  • Get help brainstorming or implementing recreational and lifestyle-enhancing activities to increase the quality of life best suited to the comfort level and physical capabilities of an individual.
  • Supporting evaluating the current state of emotional wellbeing and awareness in order to set goals for improving or sustaining long-term satisfaction and self-care needs.
  • Provide personalized nutrition guidance support assessing an individual's relationship to food, providing recommendations, and setting tangible coals to build new norms.
  • Support navigating friction points, disagreements, and how to have difficult conversations or when to disengage.
  • Use breathing as an exercise to address stress as a means of de-escalation for long-term adoption and adaptation to ongoing or single-case circumstances.
  • Provide insights or exercise techniques catered to one's acquired disability in alignment with the person's physical therapy goals.
  • Use meditation and calming exercises to address stress as a means of de-escalation for long-term adoption and adaptation to ongoing or single-case circumstances.
  • Maintain follow-up contact on progress toward goals during coaching sessions.
  • Support in understanding dietary needs, setting up goals to adopt, and staying on track with special diets.


Who you are

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience with coaching, training or health and wellness support.
  • Be reliable, flexible and enthusiastic!
  • At least 18 years old
  • Pass a background check
  • Ability to explain and persuade in a concise manner and communicate complex information effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Broad Health and Wellness knowledge as it relates to nutrition, fitness and health
  • You are passionate about helping neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities
  • Associates Degree or BA in Nutrition, Counseling, Fitness, Psychology, Wellness, Nursing, or health care; unrelated degree or certifications/trainings with relevant work experience also accepted
  • You have a stable Internet connection and own a mobile device
  • Experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs
