The Role

As Head of Financial Planning and Analysis you will have the opportunity to lead and build a high-impact FP&A team, and be part of a key driver of the company’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be joining a collaborative, high-growth company and will leverage their proven FP&A experience to build upon existing processes as the company scales. This is a critical and highly visible role, requiring an ability to develop strong working partnerships with senior business leaders, as well as developing and mentoring a team. Attention to detail, sharp analytical skills, high integrity, willingness to roll up your sleeves, and the desire to continue to build a fast-growing company are must haves.

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

As Head of FP&A at Tango, you will:

• Actively drive internal efforts in data transformation and process improvements; lead continued implementation of FP&A software
• Act as strategic thought partner to the CFO and the executive leadership team, play a key part in developing strategic plans, and collaborate with the business to develop budgets that aligns with long-term strategic objectives
• Partner with other internal teams to deliver timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors
• Develop and maintain robust financial forecasting models to support short-term and long-term financial projections; actively partner with business leaders to analyze data, identify trends, provide insights, identify risks and opportunities, and drive informed decision-making
• Effectively lead, manage and develop a high functioning team; foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of different business strategies and market conditions.

To be effective in our Head of FP&A role, you must have:

• Proven track record of building and leading a strong FP&A function; leading and inspiring high-performing teams
• Proven track record of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen; ability to translate financial analytics into clear and actionable insights and to tell the story beyond the numbers
• Excellent attention to detail, a strong ownership-ethic and a focus on accuracy and accountability for the whole team

Our ideal Head of FP&A at Tango will have most of the following skills and experience:

• Netsuite experience with integrated FP&A systems (i.e., Anaplan) and data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau) strongly preferred
• Experience working in a high growth start up environment strongly preferred
• M&A experience strongly preferred

Salary: The targeted pay range for this position is between $188k - $235k. Please note that the actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonus.
