Job Description
Exponential growth in adoption and deployment of connected cars and devices is bringing previously unavailable datasets to market – at scale and in real-time. Stellantis, one of the largest global car makers and the parent company of dozens of iconic brands including Jeep, Fiat, Maserati, Peugeots, and more, has created a new Data BU to harness sensor and other data from 10s of millions of connected vehicles as well as that from IoT/connected devices from external sources to build data products and services that can power hundreds of brand-new b2b and b2c applications, services, and decision-making across industries.
Stellantis Data BU is looking for an accomplished and highly experienced Data Science & Analytics leader. As the leader of the team of data analysts and scientists, your mission is to put data into decision making – both for Data BU executives/teams as well as for external customers.

Responsibilities
Priorities can change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities
  • In partnership with data engineering, design and optimize data pipelines to support descriptive analytics, data science and ML
  • Work closely with partner managers to build data assessment processes and tools to analyze partner data.
  • Working closely with business planning & operations team build the internal analytics and OKR/KPI tracking infrastructure and UX including dashboards as well integrations with 3rd party BI and visualization tools.
  • Work closely with product management and data engineering to design and develop a new portfolio of differentiated revenue driving ‘insights’ data products and services that provide actionable insights to customers
  • Build and design ML systems and develop novel research to build ‘actionable insights’ from sensor data coming from vehicles as well as data from other internal/external sources that can influence a customer’s decision making
  • Evangelize our data science practice outside the company to increase visibility, attract data portal customers, and recruit new talent
  • Together with product, UX, and data engineering teams build the reporting & analytics infrastructure and UX for customer including integrations with 3rd party BI and visualization tools
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists with a wide range of backgrounds

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field
  • 12 years of total experience in analytics/ data science
  • Strong product sense, with a solid understanding of user engagement and monetization strategies for data
  • Expert in experimentation and causal inference methodologies
  • Expert at deriving narrative from data and communicate the results effectively
  • Experience with distributed analytics processing technologies (Spark, Presto, Hive)
  • Demonstrated programming skills either in data science or software development settings a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrable experience of starting at ground zero and building sophisticated data science and analytics platforms and products
  • Industry/peer recognition for the application of science within your industry a plus
  • Comprehensive experience with predictive and prescriptive modeling/ machine learning
  • 5 years of hands-on experience building and managing customer facing, preferably revenue driving data products
  • 5 years of team building and people management experience and demonstrable leadership skills
  • Exceptional technical skills with SQL, R/ Python for data analysis and experience in ML driven products
  • Demonstrated ability to create measurable impact on revenue, product adoption, customer engagement
