Responsibilities for Head of Corporate Accounting:
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Participate in the implementation of the Company’s next generation general ledger to enable transformation of the global accounting function and drive toward future efficiencies in process
  • Oversee and manage the corporate accounting team, ensuring that information in the general ledger is maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and operating in a well-controlled manner
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual financial controls audit
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year- and quarter-end
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically 15 or more years of relevant financial management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills:
  • People Management Experience
  • Ability to define the future path of the Corporate Accounting Team
  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaborate across functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPA
  • Drive process improvements and automation within the organization
