Hardware Engineer Ii Jobs

Responsibilities:
Support and maintain instructional, faculty, and staff workstations including labs and classrooms. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all computer hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. Troubleshoots problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end users training and assistance where required.
Minimum Requirements:
1. An Associate degree from an accredited university in a technology field is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of two (2) years full-time employment experience with computer related hardware is required.
3. Experience with LAN operations is preferred.
4. Apple computer experience is preferred.
5. Project management/lead experience is preferred.
6. Working knowledge of Windows infrastructure features (e.g. Active Directory, Group Policy) and TCP/IP concepts is preferred.
7. Experience using disk-imaging tools is preferred.
8. Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
9. Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
10. Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products is required.
11. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
12. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, and Windows Operating Systems is required.
13. Ability to work well in a customer-centric team environment.
14. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
15. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
16. Must be at least 21 years of age.
17. Must possess a current and valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under UMHB auto policy.
