Position Summary:


The Nelly Berman School of Music is the Main Line’s Premier Music School – founded by the late Nelly Berman on continuing the Russian tradition of musical excellence, a tradition that is continued to this day by her daughter and director of the school, Elena Berman.


The Nelly Berman School of music is urgently seeking a highly qualified guitar teacher with experience in teaching students of varying ages and skill levels. A strong background in classical guitar is preferred with preference to candidates with an additional background and experience in all styles (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Ukelele)

Instructors are encouraged to perform in faculty concerts and develop/teach special programs such as but not limited to jazz, or guitar ensembles.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in classical guitar required.
  • Performance background in all styles.
  • Teaching experience with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
