Guest Relations - General Summary


Guest Relations/Concierge is the Ambassador of the Cinema and first impression our guest receives. This position always greets every customer with a smile, provides a stellar guest service experience and assist every request while maintaining professionalism. The Guest Relations/Concierge reports to the General Manager and/or Manager on Duty (MOD).


Guest Relations - Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Keep kiosks clean and in proper working order as well as surrounding area.
  • Show Guest where to find exits and bathrooms.
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and how to operate equipment safely and sensibly. Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors immediately of potential dangers. Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with Cinema requirements.
  • Bus lounge tables and wipe the tables down when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Check daily emails on outlook for Customer inquiries, current updates, changes, etc...
  • Check to see if there are any voices messages and respond back immediately.
  • Always talk to the Chef or Manager to see at what time we want to stop seating Customers.
  • If you happen to notice the candy is low give concessions a friendly reminder.
  • Sweep up the floor whenever needed.
  • Collect and clean all 3D glasses throughout the day as needed.
  • Ten minutes after the last movies put the Sliding glass doors on “one-way” and/or lock the doors to ensure that guest traffic can only exit the theater.
  • Restock business cards, envelopes, gift cards and ticket printer paper at the hostess stand when needed.
  • Take out the tickets that are to be picked up that day and place them to the right of the right monitor for convenience and fast pick up.
  • If a kiosk is not working document it in our Kiosks log book, turn off the kiosk and place an “Out of order” sign on the kiosk then notify a manager.
  • Check the LCD's for errors, if any, report them to a manager.
  • Responsible for scanning tickets for customers and assisting them to find their auditorium prior to Movie performances.
  • Prepare outside seating for the day.
  • You are responsible for shutting down and locking the kiosks at the end of the day.
  • Be aware of all movies by watching movie trailers to be able to inform guests about movie plots.
  • Check the paper level on the kiosk to have an idea of which ones to keep an eye on and when to change.


Guest Relations - Education And/Or Experience


High School Diploma and minimum of 1-2 years experience in customer service or hospitality.


GUEST RELATIONS - PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Standing outside when it’s hot or cold for one to two hours at a time.
  • Lifting 25-30 pounds of Kiosk receipt paper
  • Moving heat lamps and restocking propane tanks when necessary
  • Moving tables together in the Restaurant or outside - lifting
  • Cleaning the tables and sweeping/mopping the floors when necessary - bending
  • Moving the Podium inside and outside daily
  • Building standees when necessary
  • Required to stand for five+ hours at a time.
