Our client is a global fortune 500 manufacturing company in the Industrial Engineering market, with an exciting range of clientele and products.
Due to numerous transformations and the implementation of their own Lean Manufacturing Excellence program, the organization is consistently assessing its processes, efficiencies, leadership mindset and strive for excellence to ensure its’ high performance and well established position in the market.
As further acqusitions occur and sectors colloaborate, new brands and new business units are not a rare concept in this business. The business unit we are working with focuses on Electrical Vehicles in the automotive space, composing of a 50 year old legacy product and worth 40 million in revenue.
In order to promote further succcess in an already championing market, the business are looking for a growth leader, with the purpose of providing external market knowledge to collaborate with sales, marketing and regional technology to lead global programs and interconnect and intergrate with other regions. This is a crucial role for the development of key tier 1 and OEM strategies for the Americas in order to enhance product lines.
Job Responsibilities
- Drives and manages existing portfolio of initiatives and growth initiatives consistent with the global strategy, providing the integration of the cross-functional segment team, to expand into adjacent spaces to drive growth
- Executes specific prioritized growth programs/initiatives with focus in Americas
- With the Global Marketing Manager and the Industry Vertical Manager, keeps the business strategy up to date following the industrial trend, customer needs, and technology advancement
- Explores competitive landscape and opportunities to help the business partner with Equipment Suppliers, and other Motor/Battery insulation industry participants to understand, co-develop and adopt the organisation's based solutions
- Performs due diligence and EV sector research using IHS database and customer engagements
- Works with Americas commerical team to identify critical growth programs / initiatives, develop clear business and create implementation plans for critical growth initiatives
Background and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred). MBA is a plus.
- Experience with developing sales pipelines/funnels and BD activities
- Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
- Flexibility, willingness to work in a rapidly changing multicultural business environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, product management, or business development in Automotive materials, components and/or related field. Experience with EVs (OEMs, EV material suppliers) is a MUST
- Excellent written and oral English
- Dynamic and self-starter; excellent communication and relationship building skills. Strong team player who can lead across a broad and geographically dispersed business
- Experience in driving development projects and accomplishing defined objectives/goals
