THE POSITION
Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.

• Ability to operate equipment in a manner consistent with observing prescribed safety and hazard precautions.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Work includes general custodial tasks, the operation of both electric and gas-powered grounds maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubbery, flowerbeds, and other horticulture.
• Performs unskilled to semi-skilled labor in maintenance of city grounds, recreational facilities, the golf course, athletic fields, courts and parks, generally assigned to a specific functional area such as athletic fields, golf course, or parks ground maintenance, but may be assigned to assist in others when circumstance warranted (i.e., special events).
