Preceptors are expected to facilitate a program that may include observation, patient interaction, didactic learning, case presentations, and/or research. Your program will be designed to fit the needs and availability of your practice. AMO handles all marketing, application collection, medical trainee support, and administrative work so that you can focus on the most important part, teaching! This is a contracted position; preceptors are paid a stipend upon a medical trainee’s successful completion of their program.
Essential Functions:
  • Timely responsiveness of requests and required school documents (affiliations, evaluations, forms etc.)
  • Ensure all observation or hands-on activities involving patients are supervised by the physician, mid-level, or nurse
  • Adhere to AMO & AMO’s school partners standards of professionalism as outlined in our affiliation agreement
  • Must be able to host a minimum of 36 hours/per week
  • Willing to write a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) based on merit
Skills/Experience:
  • For Physicians - Have current Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • APRNs should also be certified as a PNP
  • Hold a current, active, Medical, PA or APRN license in the U.S.
  • For PA/APRN – be practicing in Pediatrics for 2+ years
  • Prior clinical education experience preferred, but not required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others
What You Gain
  • Management account for the AMOpportunities Admin Platform to view your program details, upcoming and past trainees, trainee documents, and stipends paid.
  • A mission-driven team committed to a spirit of support, growth, and achievement.
  • Competitive stipend. Depending on availability, pre-payment of stipends may be available.
  • A front-row seat for the exponential growth of a booming healthcare education tech company
  • A dedicated Program Coordinator to manage your program details, document collection and verification, and scheduling.
