Graphic Designer Jobs

Qocreate, Inc. is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to join our team of talented professionals supporting the USDA Forest Service in Missoula, MT on the National Technology and Development Program (NTDP). NTDP shares its solutions through technical tips, project reports, training curriculum, videos, qualified products list, specifications, drawings, brochures, posters, etc. NTDP provides support across deputy chief areas for projects national in scope and represents the agency’s commitment to service through production of communication materials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing a wide range of visual and multimedia presentations and products by providing photography, graphic design, desktop publishing, and page layout projects using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, and other desktop publishing software.

* This is a full-time position requiring 4 days of work in the office in Missoula, with 1 day remote. *

• This job is contingent on the award of a Government contract. ** Candidates required to provide examples of layout work completed in inDesign and other work performed in Photoshop and Illustrator

Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, tools, and techniques, incorporating them into design projects as appropriate
• Create design concepts, graphics, and layouts for a variety of projects, including marketing materials, product packaging, and website design
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts that align with company goals and brand
• Maintain a high level of quality control, ensuring that final designs are free of errors and meet project requirements
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines
• Use industry-standard software to create and edit digital designs, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Present design concepts to internal teams and external clients, incorporating feedback to improve the final product

Requirements

Required skills:

• Strong organizational skills to assist with setting up file structures and organizing various types of multimedia (videos, photos, etc.)
• Familiarity with and understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards
• Strong design background and experience in Adobe Creative Suite (potential contractor will provide examples of layout work completed in inDesign and other work performed in Photoshop and Illustrator)

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with Plain Language Writing Guidelines, general editing techniques, and GPO Style Manual requirements
• Familiarity with Vimeo and Flickr
