Compass Auctions is an auction company located in Chattanooga, TN. Our business provides comprehensive services for buyers and sellers. Our experienced staff conducts over 15 professional live and online public auctions each month. Every auction experience is unique, which is why we tailor our services to our customer's needs.

Graphic Design :

At Compass Auctions, we value creative skills in engaging & informative designs. We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in print and digital media.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of branding and visual design and will be able to find the right style and layout for every campaign.

Will have the ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects.

Objectives for this role:

• Work independently as well as cooperatively within the marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include 3 or more simultaneous projects.
• Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
• Develop and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
• Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
• Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Using Trends in the market when designing and executing campaigns.
• Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used.
• Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
• Help make design choices (e.g., fonts and colors) for all content your company will use.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• Desire to continue building skills with education or training.
• Excellent communication skills
• Knows how to use Adobe creative cloud programs (Illustrator & Photoshop)

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Videography and Video editing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related discipline.
• 1 or more years of experience in a professional graphic design position(s).
