Position title: Graphic Design Specialist

Department: Marketing

Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Location: AHG National Office, Local Remote and/or Remote

Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications

Works with: AHG Staff and volunteers

Travel Required: Yes, regionally and/or nationally; less than 25%

Salary: $23-$24.50 per hour

Exhibits Christ-like servant leadership while working with staff, volunteers and the public. This position will conceptualize, design and create work that communicates, supports, and promotes AHG objectives and brand image. Responsible for developing graphics and brand properties. Works with internal and external stakeholders.

1. Deeply understand AHG Brand and strategy for marketing.

2. Collaborate with AHG Staff and volunteers to design brand identities and creative materials including but not limited to:

3. Work collaboratively with a variety of AHG Departments using best practice time and project management processes to meet deadlines for projects.

1. As needed for graphic design projects, merchandise shoots, and photoshoots

2. Other duties as assigned.

1. Passion for serving God in the AHG Ministry

2. Agrees with and lives out AHG’s Statement of Faith

3. BA degree in graphic design preferred or equivalent experience (2+ years working within a design firm or other creative team environment as a graphic designer)

4. In-depth understanding of the creative process and project management

5. Expertise in entire Adobe Creative Suite

6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams

7. Experience in production processes for print and web

8. Strong visual design skills; strong level of creativity

9. Solid understanding and application of typography principles

10. Artistic/drawing skills a plus

11. Highly experienced with design files and print sets (dpi, color correction, bleeds, trim, links, type outlines, etc.)

12. Experience with magazine, handbook, and manual creation/layout

13. Experience with product design, i.e. for t-shirts, gift items, wearables, etc. is a plus

14. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines

15. Highly collaborative and enjoys working with teams

16. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

19. To telecommute/remote work as a staff member, you must have an internet connection of 100Mbps down/3Mbps up at a minimum. If there are additional people in the remote location using the internet connection, 100Mbps down/10Mbps up is recommended. It is the staff member’s responsibility to have an internet connection and proper equipment in their house to meet the minimum requirements from AHG to telecommute/remote work.
