About the role...
Be a force of positive energy to create AWESOME designs for marketing programs that get our fans excited about LEGOLAND. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative ideas for marketing materials and communication tools that drive awareness and visitation, increase consumer purchasing, and inspire loyalty to and advocacy of LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. Also, you will work with detailed brand guidelines to maintain a strong, distinct brand identity across all marketing materials.
The perfect candidate would be a collaborative and organized creator who gets excited by a fun brand and fast-paced environment.
This designer will be primarily responsible for projects across all current and future properties at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, including LEGOLAND® Theme Park, LEGOLAND® Water Park, Peppa Pig Theme Park and three onsite hotels: LEGOLAND® Hotel, LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel and LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat. This role will also help develop creative theming to be used across North America LEGOLAND Parks.
What you’ll be doing...
Uses LEGOLAND Florida Resort and Peppa Pig Theme Park visual identity and brand guidelines to create marketing materials, including, but not limited to print and digital advertising, website assets, brochures, email layouts and other collateral as needed.
Support marketing program needs with focus on creative content development, layout, and design. Follows trends and shares best practices for email and other creative mediums.
Works with direction from creative services and marketing teams to finish and produce mechanical design files from mock-ups or renderings, for in-house and external production specifications.
Shows creativity and attention to detail on all projects, regarding layout, legibility, and maintenance of brand tone of voice.
Follows direction from creative services team to complete projects on time and according to specifications provided.
Always follows LEGOLAND Florida Resort policies and procedures.
Maintains liaison with fellow maintenance Model Citizen’s and other departments.
Keeps safety as #1 priority.
Who we’re looking for...
Requires experience creating original design work in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator while adhering to brand guidelines and best practices. Also requires experience in creation of production mechanical files from design renderings or mockups. Must be thorough, with attention to detail for copy and layout to ensure consistency and best delivery for messages both visual and written. Should have experience in traditional and digital design. Prior experience in OOH mechanical production and photography retouching preferred. Familiarity with .swf and .gif creation optional but preferred.
Education:
A high school diploma or general education degree (or equivalent education and experience) is required.
3 years of experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Utilize respiratory equipment in conjunction with OSHA requirements for job function.
Ability to work in hard to access areas such as uneven terrain and confined spaces.
Requires the use of safety goggles, gloves, ear plugs, respiratory devices, and rain gear when appropriate.
Wear appropriate footwear as prescribed by LEGOLAND Florida policy and procedures.
Wear uniform/clothing provided. Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and conform to established LEGOLAND Florida appearance standards.
Frequent lifting of moderate to heavy loads (25 – 70lbs). Required to lift and move loads with uneven weight distribution.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking to move about the park site, and interact with employees.
Hear with surrounding distracting noises. Noise level to possibly exceed 85 decibels.
Work Environment:
Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces, may include dirty and dusty environment.
Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, with extreme hot or cold conditions.
Other Job Requirements:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays to support park operations.
Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and be willing to utilize own vehicle for business purposes.
Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.
Salary:
