Grant Writer / Fundraising Manager

This position is a wonderful opportunity to support a reputable and passionate, professional, adult dance company. Established in 2014, Emergent Dance Company has been creating choreography that demonstrates dances themed on current cultural issues or humanistic expressions through dance. Our pieces are performed in festivals throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.Our mission is to inspire, challenge, and enlighten those in our surrounding communities.Approaching the company’s 10^th season, our goals are expanding, and we need a passionate and motivated individual who can join our team to advocate for the art of dance in Orange County. Emergent Dance Company works under the non-profit, Ballet Etudes, a well-established youth ballet organization that has provided dance experiences for young dancers for over 25 years. As Emergent has grown over the past 9 years, so has our need for self-sufficient funding. The ideal candidate will be a strong influence behind growing our financial support and development, achieving the duties listed below.

Grant Writing Notes

-This individual isresponsible for managing all aspects of the grant development process including planning, budgeting, writing, submitting, and tracking grants that cater to the needs and goals of Emergent Dance Company.

-As the Grant Writer, they will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies.

Donor Relations / Fundraising Manager

-Responsible for developing and assisting in implementing engagement and fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue and annual campaign operations.

-They will be part of ensuring quarterly and annual revenue goals are met for Emergent Dance Company.

-Seeks philanthropic support toensure that donors experience high-quality interactions with the organization that fosters long-term engagement and investment.

-Maintains a high-quality stewardship process for all donors.

-Implement a donation database, track donors, and seek potential new donors.
