Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, Government Relations Manager to support our growing and ambitious government relations function.This role will be very action oriented, and you will be involved in crafting legislation to build a new industry. You will do this by helping to craft and pass legislation and build relationshipswith federal and state policymakers. The ideal candidate will have experience lobbying, working in a legislature or agency, in financial services, and/or startups.This is an exciting opportunity to help build the public profile for high growth, high impact company.As we expand our offerings, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $150,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

This is a remote position.

What You'll Do

• Craft and refine lobbying campaigns for state and federal advocacy campaigns
• Directly engage with relevant policymakers on the state or federal level to tell EarnIn’s unique story of customer service and empowerment, and manage contract lobbyists to do the same.
• Work as part of the government relations team, managing internal clients and external consultants to build a positive profile and reputation for the company.
• Work with our customers to create impactful messaging campaigns about how our products improve their lives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Look around corners and creatively solve problems

What We're Looking For

• Empathy with our customers and ability to communicate that to policy makers
• Familiarity with Google products (Docs, Slide, Sheets, etc) preferred
• Experience with PAC management and compliance a plus
• 5-7 years of policy or lobbying experience experience, with previous experience on capitol hill or a state legislature, or a financial regulatory body
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• A collaborative style and the ability to work with little supervision
• A deep thinker who can communicate clearly under pressure
• Passion for exploring new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of ownership and urgency, high energy and enthusiasm
• Financial services, start up, or consumer advocacy experience a plus
