About the role:

Go-to-Market Analyst is a rapidly growing category that has attracted substantial investment and demand in recent years. Furthermore, software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses continue to excel and define the standard operating model of the software industry. At Zego, you’ll participate in the intersection of these trends while learning best practices from a SaaS business that has achieved 20%+ recurring revenue growth with double-digit margins. You’ll assume responsibility for high-importance tasks that directly impact sales efficacy and go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate will be a structured and analytical thinker who is capable of generating quality insights from large sets of data and possesses an exceptional attention to detail. The role will be heavily involved in organizational performance management. A successful candidate is a continuous learner who will quickly understand the factors that impact revenue performance, be able to explain the underlying causes behind performance changes, and create or tailor dashboards, reports, and scorecards that accurately reflect these factors and their trends in a way that is clearly presented and easily understandable.

What you’ll do here:

  • Understand, report, and distribute key revenue-team performance metrics
  • Continuously improve the quality and accessibility of valuable data to our sales, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Maintain, monitor, and enhance weekly and monthly reporting across sales, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Inform strategic analysis through data-based recommendations for revenue team improvement
  • Optimize key sales systems and tools
  • Leverage and analyze revenue data from platforms such as Gong, Groove, InsightSquared, Salesforce, and Looker to uncover actionable insights and trends
  • Ad hoc report and dashboard creation
  • Drive consistency, predictability, and continuous improvement throughout our revenue team
  • Provide analytical support for annual GTM plans


About you:

  • Exceptional Excel skills (required)
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications, Google Apps, Looker, and CRM tools such as Salesforce.com, Insight Squared
  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Personal sense of pride in work product and emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in fast-paced and high-performing environment
  • Internally-motivated and intellectually curious
  • Ability to dig into data, analyze, and surface actionable insight
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • SF admin experience a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in quantitative roles such as Sales Ops, FP&A, consulting, or data analysis, preferably within the software industry
  • A graduate of a four-year university highly preferred


WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Produce accurate weekly sales scorecards
  • Learn best practices through Zego Sales Bootcamp
  • Enhance the user interface of our sales resources database
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of strategic accounts in each sales territory
  • Attend New Hire Training
  • Answer the “WHAT?” questions
  • Take over reporting from the Sr. Manager, GTM Strategy and Analytics
  • Get to know your team
  • Work deeply to understand the reporting metrics and data architecture of the organization
  • Learn our systems and your expectations


WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Materially improve account-level data within Salesforce
  • Be able to confidently create accurate reports and dashboards
  • Learn the revenue tech stack
  • Understand how data flows through the revenue funnel
  • Maintain the commission software tool and review monthly sales commission
  • Understand market and industry dynamics
  • Answer the “SO WHAT?” questions
  • Have a firm understanding of the factors that impact revenue team performance
  • Produce accurate monthly GTM scorecards


WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Answer the “NOW WHAT?” questions
  • Understand the business and each product in detail
  • Understand the revenue funnel, key metrics at each stage of the funnel, and how to calculate these metrics
  • Proactively identify and thoughtfully recommend initiatives for improvement
  • Be an expert in revenue team performance reporting and understand where data can be found
  • Assume full responsibility of weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue team performance reporting to all stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with sales tech stack vendors
  • Thoroughly understand the value prop of our products and platform


The US base salary for this full-time position is $75,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
