Job Description

JOB TITLE: Global Supply Manager - IT Infrastructure

LOCATION: Fremont, CA (onsite)

Direct Hire


SUMMARY:

Indirect Procurement Global Supply Team is looking to hire a skilled professional to develop and execute IT Infrastructure and Data Center sourcing strategy.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop business case, cost analysis across different, proposed cost models using existing tools
  • Review change order proposals and make approval or rejection recommendations
  • Identify and support with negotiations of commercial cost reduction opportunities
  • Monitor and ensure that the commodities/services purchased are compliant with global procurement policy
  • Primary contact for supplier engagement and supplier management with IT Infrastructure and data center equipment suppliers
  • Support commodity business planning and savings
  • Analyze historical spend, as well as forecast, spend and savings by project, commodity, business
  • Review, analyze and clarify bid packages received from suppliers and service providers. Make and present recommendations to award after performing a detailed bid analysis ensuring identical scope inclusion for all bids
  • Develop and execute IT Infrastructure and Data Center sourcing strategies, drive strategic sourcing decision on a global basis, ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness
  • Develop strong stakeholder support and cooperation on assigned commodities
  • Metrics, Reporting, and procurement process execution and improvement
  • Negotiate and manage a range of commercial contracts governing all supplier performance
  • Synthesize supplier, industry, and market research for assigned commodities
  • Conduct RFx (RFI, RFQ and RFP) to identify, select and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage, best in class pricing, quality, and continuity of supply across all regions globally


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience related to Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or any other relevant area in previous employment
  • Understanding of contract fundamentals
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably with semiconductor background, data center experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and judgment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement
  • Experience developing “should cost” estimate and analyzing supplier quotes
  • Excellent attention to detail skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience in the business field related to high level of interactions with OEMs, resellers, contractors, and vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA is a plus
  • Excellent negotiation, written and verbal skills
