As the Global Supply Chain Sustainability Director you will be responsible for leading and implementing HPE’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program within the Global Operations organization, reporting into the VP of Global Logistics. You will work closely with HPE’s Living Progress team and cross functionally with other Business Unit Leads to understand HPE’s internal ESG strategy and coordinate a collaborative and cohesive approach to meeting our net-zero goals and drive down carbon emissions within our supply chain and logistics portfolio. You will lead a program team of operational professionals from across the business to build foundational tools and metrics, a roadmap of efforts designed to reduce emissions and build sustainability into our go-forward business model, and enhance cultural awareness of sustainability efforts with internal team members, stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.


How You’ll Make Your Mark


  • Establish a clear, prioritized near and long-term ESG plan to successfully integrate sustainable strategies within the Global Operations organization. This should include changes in policies and processes, the introduction of science-based targets across suppliers and partners, and effective implementation of low carbon options in transportation, warehousing and supply chain
  • Actively participate in industry partnerships and ESG certification organizations to enhance HPE’s reputation and standing in the industry
  • Work in conjunction with the HPE Living Progress Team, Ethics and Compliance and relevant HPE Business Units to define and develop Global Operations specific goals in support of HPE’s net-zero targets
  • Manage all ESG related reporting processes including the collection and effective usage of supplier and service provider data and our contributions to HPE’s Living Progress report
  • Provide regular updates to the organization and the executive leadership team
  • Research and communicate global ESG legislation, regulations, and developments to determine impacts to HPE and proactively turn opportunities into actionable improvements
  • Lead and implement internal cultural awareness program to inform and educate team members on the role they play in ESG, and create an environment in which sustainability becomes an imperative in daily decision making
  • Develop and maintain a carbon emissions dashboard to track and report progress against HPE’s net-zero targets
  • Lead cross-functional Global Operations program team in designing and implementing the Global Operations ESG initiative


What You’ll Need


Education and Experience Required:


  • 5-10 years of supply chain and/or sustainability experience in a high-tech environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Environmental Sciences or related discipline
  • Proven track record in driving results, specific to reducing a company’s carbon footprint
  • Advances project and program management skills
  • 10 years of experience in a leadership role

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $123,200.00 - $297,900.00
