Job Description

Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to assess current and future customer needs, trends and clinical/technical/competitive developments and to define & recommend the resulting product strategy and roadmap for Ultrasound IT in the Point of Care (PoC) and General Imaging (GI) segments.

Furthermore, the role includes defining and executing the respective global product plans in the PoC, GI markets to help meet the set commercial and strategic targets, as well as to manage countermeasures as required.

Ultrasound IT is part of GE Ultrasound Digital and provides digital healthcare solutions for clinical users worldwide (e.g. doctors, sonographers) such as the medical reporting solution GE ViewPoint.

Essential Responsibilities

Establishing the vision for the product offering in the global PoC and GI markets, developing and executing its "360 degree" product strategy (roadmap, pricing models, Ad & Promo, distribution), including value proposition and product positioning:

  • Manage the EOL cycle as needed.
  • Define and execute the global NPI plan in collaboration with all regions.
  • Understand customer’s clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought and prioritize customer segments and business opportunities in conjunction with functional and modality leadership.
  • Funnel requirements and priorities and translate to product backlog.
  • Be results driven by mastering and applying the lean product management process, e.g. define and monitor KPIs, drive PSRs and countermeasures with the extended team as needed.
  • Identify and validate new business offerings and models, run respective concept or prototype tests.
  • Owning and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle process for the PoC and GI segments.
  • Drive market research to identify opportunities and clinical trends, integrate competitive intelligence into product GTM planning and assess competitor portfolios.
  • Ensure one consistent user experience with the Ultrasound and other digital GE solutions by partnering with the GE Ultrasound PoC and GI modality team as well as broader GE Healthcare teams.
  • Warrant customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers and regional Sales & Service teams, ensuring that the “voice of the customer” is reflected in programs and business processes.
  • Create GTM plan for commercialization & actively build and manage the KOL network (globally) in coop with the field.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills on all organizational levels.
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Business, Product Management, Marketing, a Medical profession
  • Willingness to travel ca. 30% of time to partner with customers and regional distribution partners (internal and external) to grow the business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, product management, product development, or related field
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the Digital Healthcare or IT markets.
  • Strong analytical and process skills.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is 95,000 to 143,000 USD . It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
